Pediatric Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral Palsy (CP) affects 3 out of every 1,000 making it the most widespread disability in childhood. This group of motor disorders affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture and may result in the need for life-long assistance and care. Cerebral Palsy is caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain that affects a person’s ability to control their muscles. Many people also have related conditions such as intellectual disability, seizures, problems with vision, hearing and speech, changes in the spine or joint problems.
