DR. DIANE LEVITAN, VMD

Dr. Diane Levitan, veterinary internal medicine specialist has been practicing since 1991 and currently embracing her love of teaching and mentoring as a Clinical Associate Professor at Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She is a successful entrepreneur founding several veterinary practices, including two 24-hour specialty and referral hospitals, including her most recent hospital is Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care in Commack, NY.

Dr. Levitan is considered an expert in veterinary medicine introducing many new concepts into the field. Examples include, creating the first hospital (globally) where families could stay overnight with their pets, pioneering the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for animals, creating a traveling CT scan company, and working to optimize the use and practicality of veterinary virtual care.

Some of her many skills include medical diagnoses of the most difficult medical problems in pets using reasoning, deduction, radiography, ultrasonography, and diagnostic laboratory testing. She is known for being very ethical, pragmatic, and straightforward as has been featured on national media outlets for television, radio and print.
